The fact that your employees can plug in and access portable storage devices such as USB sticks and external devices poses a data leak risk for your company. To prevent such an unfortunate event from taking place, you should monitor user activity and block access to removable storage devices. Delta Corvi’s Leak Blocker was designed specifically for this task – it will prevent data leakage from corporate computers.

The system requirements for the Leak Blocker agent are: x86 compatible processor, 64MB of free RAM memory or more, Windows XP or higher operating system.
The system requirements for the Leak Blocker server are: x86 compatible processor, 512MB of free RAM memory or more, Windows XP or higher processor.

In the upper left hand corner of the interface you will notice three tabs:
Status – presents a list of agents, logged on users, and connected devices.
Settings – allows you to play with a few options, access some advanced settings.
Audit – view audit data collected by the application.

As mentioned above, Leak Blocker is a handy tool meant to control access to removable devices. That’s a very brief presentation of its functionality. To help you better understand what you can expect to get from this application, here’s a look at its main features: restrict the use of external storage devices, set up time restrictions, exclude specific computers/users/devices from blocking, track all the activity related to removable devices, detailed reports, send email out via email.

Leak Blocker is a shareware application.

Block access to portable devices, set up white lists, grant temporary access to specific devices – you can do all these things with Leak Blocker.

Pros

The system requirements for running Leak Blocker are quite low. The application’s interface is easy to figure out. Use the application to monitor and restrict access to portable external storage devices. The application has a client-server architecture.

Cons

None that I could think of.
